Dreaming Big. Living Small.
PAD’s Dee Williams has a track record of tiny house living since 2004. She lives in a tiny house in Olympia, Washington, leads PAD’s tiny house educational offerings, books, plans and consulting, and is currently writing her memoir for Blue Rider Press, an imprint of Penguin Publishing, due out in 2014. Her house and lifestyle have been featured in the media, including YES! Magazine, The Oregonian, PBS Need to Know, TEDxConcordia, Radio Netherlands, and Bitch Magazine.
Dee says: “I built the house myself, one stick of wood at a time – something I’d recommend to any novice interested in a daily ritual of ‘crying your eyes out, immediately followed by a little victory arm pump when the challenge of the moment is finally figured out.’ My house was inspired by the designs of Jay Shafer. In the spirit of a picture being worth a thousand words, here are links to two of the better videos about my tiny house and me.”
